Pioneer Unit - www.pioneerunit.com is the Cape Town-based independent record label from South Africa that is cultivating phresh African hip-hop – in Africa. The label is owned and run by ex UK resident Dplanet; a hiphop rap veteran of more than 20 years in the game. Through releases like Planetary Assault, Pioneer Unit’s aim is to take hip-hop out of the underground and into its rightful place as music for the people.
