Very debatable to call Lucille the A-side here; pretty much everyone, including the great Unca Marvey, states that "Such a Night" was the A, and certainly that was the earlier hit, their second after Money Honey (and from the same recording session).

"Lucille" was part of the earlier first session of a different set of singers that Ahmet Ertegun found unworthy of keeping together for a second. (A first at the time, apparently, to release two sides with different singers under the same name.) "Such a Night" was banned from the radio as too "racy"...

The only attribution of Lucille as the A I could find comes from the wikipedia entry for the song, which cites the article around their induction into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame, which in turn appears to be relying on IMDB, that stalwart of quality music-history sourcing. Will let someone else make the final call.
