Annotation

Limited edition SA-CD HYBRID + 2 Blu-Spec CD2 (3-disc set) housed in a 7-inch gatefold paper jacket with mini-LP sleeve(s). Commentary, lyrics, and translations included. Bonus poster included.

Gold hype sticker affixed to front sleeve cover. Dual OBI for front and rear of paper jacket.

From product listing: This 3-disc set pairs the first-ever SACD Hybrid edition of "Born To Run" (produced in Japan) with two bonus discs featuring a complete live performance from the historic Born To Run Tour, recorded on December 12, 1975 at the C.W. Post campus of Long Island University. Captured in high-quality multitrack audio, this concert is also known as the source of the officially released live version of "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town." The show features six songs from the then newly released "Born To Run," opening with a piano version of "Thunder Road," followed by the first-ever performance of "It's My Life," and building to powerful renditions of "Detroit Medley" and "Quarter To Three."

The audio is newly mixed from the original 24-track analog masters using the latest Plangent Process. The iconic original cover artwork is faithfully reproduced for the first time in a 7-inch mini LP-style paper sleeve, complete with a special outer obi replicating the first Japanese LP edition and a bonus poster. The 40-page Japanese booklet includes liner notes by Igarashi, commentary by Eric Flanigan on the bonus live discs, and translator's notes by Miura.
