Note on Artists

The Nintendo Music app allows listens/scrobbles of their music, but doesn't include any artist in their mediainfo. This has led some 3rd party apps like Pano Scrobbler to bind Nintendo Music plays to "Nintendo Co., Ltd."

Following the Release Style Guideline, the release group artist, release artist and track artist should be the same. (Release artist and track artist can use different script versions.) The recording artist can have the correct or known artist.

On release regions

While the soundtracks are all the same content-wise for all regions, the language of the release and track names differs between regions. Usually this means you're likely to either see the English (en) or Japanese (ja_JP) language versions, but sometimes there are minute differences on some specific games, like with Star Fox 64, which is Lylat Wars in the PAL regions. Likewise some locales outside of the two mentioned have localized tracklistings and altered cover images, so look out for those.

Currently there are 16 locales: de-DE, en-GB, en-US, es-ES, es-MX, fr-FR, fr-CA, it-IT, ja-JP, ko-KR, nl-NL, pt-PT, pt-BR, ru-RU, zh-CN, zh-TW.
